Orvelle ("the app") is a personal media tracker for iPhone and Apple TV. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. The app is local-first and the developer operates no servers and collects no personal data.
Your library, watchlist, watch history, ratings, collections, playback progress and settings are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to the developer.
If you choose to connect Google Drive, the app uses your Google account solely to:
This data stays in your Google account. The developer has no back-end and never receives, stores, or has access to your Drive contents or tracker data. Google authentication tokens are stored securely on your device (Apple Keychain) and are used only to access your Drive on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time in the app, and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Orvelle's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Drive data is used only to provide user-facing features (sync and playback of your own files), is not transferred to others, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans.
To show artwork, descriptions and ratings, the app requests public information from third-party services (e.g. The Movie Database, OMDb, IGDB, MDBList, OpenSubtitles). These requests contain only the title/identifier being looked up — no personal information about you.
The app contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Delete your data by removing your library in the app, deleting the app (which removes local data), and/or deleting the app's file in your Google Drive and revoking access via your Google account settings.
